Arizona Building & Construction Trades Members Appointed to Phoenix Business & Workforce Development Board

PHOENIX, Ariz. – May 15, 2019 – Jimmy Cahill, Dean Van Kirk and Delbert Hawk, members of the Arizona Building and Construction Trades Council (AZBTC), have been appointed to the City of Phoenix Business and Workforce Development Board (PBWDB).
James D. Cahill is President of the Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers Mountain West Administrative District Council. Dean Van Kirk is the Training Director for the Arizona Pipe Trades Apprenticeship program. Delbert Hawk is the President of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local Union 640. Each of these individuals will represent labor and provide valuable perspectives from the Building Trades to the Board and the City of Phoenix.
The PBWDB is a local workforce development board charged with providing strategic guidance and direction for federal, state, and local workforce development funds and programs. The Board oversees a network of public and private partners, to coordinate a cohesive strategy for talent development within Phoenix.
